The simple answer is no. If you are attending as a private patient you do not need a doctors referral. If you are seeking treatment for an injury through a Workers’ Compensation Claim or CTP insurance you will need a doctors referral. Veteran’s Affairs clients will need an annual doctor’s referral. If you are seeking treatment under the Chronic Disease Management Medicare Program you will also require a particular type of referral. For more information regarding Medicare subsidised Physiotherapy treatments please contact us.
Yes, if you have extras (ancillary) cover that includes Physiotherapy in your Private Health insurance package. You can claim your rebate on the spot using our HICAPs facility.
